Within minutes of Kensington Palace announcing the news that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child, speculation is already rife over what the new arrival will be called.
It isn’t thought that the Duke and Duchess themselves even have names picked out yet, but the bookmakers are already cashing in on people trying to get lucky.
The current market leader is Princess Alice at 7/1 for a girl, and Prince Arthur for a boy with odds of 10/1.
Other market leaders include Victoria (10/1), Alexandra (12/1), Albert (14/1) and Philip (14/1).
Despite these popular and traditional names, there are also some outsider suggestions that you can put a bet on.
You can put a stake on the new baby being called Prince Donald (200/1), Prince Paddy (200/1), and Princess Camilla (100/1).
There’s a 4/1 chance that the couple are expecting twins next summer, whilst triplets are still a distinct possibility at 50/1, according to the bookies.

I have thought this third child’s life might be dedicated to a higher purpose for Britain and the world such as Princess Diana at her best might have pursued. There is a passage in Saint Paul about “Donning the Armour of God.” While features of that armour include the shield to turn aside the barbs of evil, the shoes are those of peace. Can peace–to walk in the shoes of the fisher of men–truly be pursued given the geopolitical realpolltik of day to day life today? I personally because God granted free choice of the will to choose between good and evil, as a gift, so one as on a pilgrimage in life, had a choice to choose God’ love of mankind or not. For all her small errors or sins, Princess Diana choose a path “to do good,” and to do so, as the Queen’s 2016 Christmas message said in a way “to inspire” others to do so. Thus, I would suggest if it is a girl, that the child’s names include “Teresa” and “Mary.” And, if it is a boy, that the names include “Peter” and “Paul.” Or, if “Mary” is not chosen, and it is a girl, that “Teresa” and “Diana” be chosen, so that the Saint in the Catholic faith, and the “Queen of Hearts, in the Anglican denomination be wedded in the child, as these two people sought to lift up the poor, the sick, and inspire mankind through their good works, while on earth. Both of these united names pose alternative–yet still similar–paths for the child’s shoes of peace to travel upon. Princess Diana in her brief life managed to attempt to travel both. What units both? Well in her own thinking and that of our Lords, she noted that one of the biggest problems for many is that they lack nuturing love. So Diana gave her love to others, and she did so often when herself in pain. God bless and keep the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and congratulations on adding another child to your family.
They already have a Diana, it’s little Charlottes third name.
