Donald Trump describes the Duchess of Sussex as ‘nasty’ ahead of his State Visit next week

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has used the adjective ‘nasty’ to describe the Duchess of Sussex just a week before he arrives in the UK for a State Visit.

President Trump said that Meghan’s comments about the American leader have been “nasty”, but added his praises for the 37-year-old.

Before she became royal, Meghan publicly crisitised Mr Trump describing him as being “misogynistic” and “divisive.”

Speaking to The Sun, President Trump said: “I didn’t know that. What can I say? I didn’t know that she was nasty.”

He also revealed that he has no indication that he would not be meeting the Duchess during his visit, saying: “I didn’t know that. I hope she is OK.”

Mr Trump then went on to praise the Duchess, saying she will make “a very good” American princess.

He added: “It is nice, and I am sure she will do excellently.

“She will be very good. I hope she does.”
