Who is Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia?

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia was born in Athens, Greece, on 13 November 1943. The Crown Princess has studied business at the University of Denver, Colorado and the University of Dallas, Texas. She was also educated in Athens and Lausanne, Switzerland. After completing her studies, the Crown Princess worked for a period in the United States.

Her Royal Highness married His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander of Serbia in 1985, and since 2001, they have lived permanently in the Royal Palace of Belgrade. In her spare time, Crown Princess Katherine enjoys music, reading, and cross-country skiing.

Her Royal Highness has, for many years, been working to improve the situation of people who have a difficult time. In 1993, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine founded the Lifeline Humanitarian Organisation with currently has offices in Chicago, New York, Toronto, London and Athens. This organisation, together with the HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation works to collect money for medical equipment that has been delivered to numerous hospitals in Serbia.

Royal Central is very pleased to have been given the honour to conduct a private and exclusive interview with Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia. The interview will take place at the Royal Palace in Belgrade, in late June. Royal Central will discuss the Crown Prince couple’s life, the return to Serbia after the fall of communism, the Crown Prince couple’s aid work for Serbian children and the possible restoration of the Serbian monarchy.

As the date nears for the interview, Royal Central will continue to follow the Serbian Royal Family more closely and report on the Royal Family’s members and what they do in today’s Serbia for our readers.
