The Members of the British Royal Family tend to shy away from social media, unlike their European counterparts. Prince Harry is said to have an Instagram account which he has kept private, his girlfriend Meghan Markle has one that is public but never posts any pictures of the family and now it is revealed that Princess Eugenie has a Pinterest board.
With 11 boards made public, her 1,300 followers can get an inside track to what is “on” the princesses “radar”, which include a large number of abstract art installations.
The self-described “Art Lover // Foodie // Happy Traveller” is Associate Director at the international art gallery, Hauser & Wirth.
Some of her other boards include ‘Art in Conversation’, ‘Around the World’ and ‘Colour Play’.
Living between London and New York, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York also has boards for her favourite spots in the two cities.
In London the Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea at Selfridges, the Mae Deli is “yummy and completely healthy” and HIX Soho for “one of the coolest bars in London with delicious cocktails, especially the martini” are all her recommendations.
Head across the pond and the Loeb Boathouse is “one of the best things” Princess Eugenie suggests. The Roof Garden at The Met is apparently “quite incredible “.
If you are in the big apple for a private sale or auction, Christie’s in New York has the “one and only Robert, the friendliest doorman”.
Princess Eugenie has a combined Honours BA of Art History, English Literature and Politics from Newcastle University and lived in New York for a period of time where she worked for Paddle8 as a benefits action manager before joining Hauser & Wirth back in London. Her experience and love of art comes across in all her pins, some of which are most certainly to a preferred taste.
