The verdict on William and Kate from a new fan – ”you can see the chemistry between the two”

Princess and Princess of Wales take part in Water Rescue exercise in Northern Ireland

The chemistry between the Prince and Princess of Wales got people talking as the two headed to Northern Ireland for a day of surprise engagements.

First stop on their visit was the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service’s Learning and Development College near Cookstown in County Tyrone.

During their time there, they were presented with gifts for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. And some of those handing over the present had a very clear impression of William and Kate after chatting to them.

Speaking to Cool FM after the royal visit, they said the couple were ”very engaging….very focused on you…made you feel as if you’re the only person here.”

And their own connection was clear to onlookers as they said they were ”really, really lovely, you could see the chemistry between the two”.

The visit saw William and Kate tour the brand new facility which is the largest of its kind and trains the next generation of firefighters through innovative training techniques, including one of only two flood water rescue simulators in the world in a fire training facility.

The Prince and Princess of Wales hitched a lift in a fire truck to the water rescue area and Kate made a surprise revelation as the journey took place, with one of the recently-trained firefighters, Caoimhe McNeice, telling reporters that the royal passenger had joked “I’d love to drive at the real speed and have the sirens on.”

Their guide for the day was Chief Fire & Rescue Officer, Aidan Jennings, who said afterwards that ”It was a privilege to have our royal visitors meet many people across our Service and recognise their commitment, dedication and enthusiasm in doing so.”

The presents for George, Charlotte and Louis were baseball caps that have a harder edge to give extra protection in more difficult situations.

William seemed thrilled with the presents as he held on to them as the visit came to an end.
