The Countess of Wessex in self isolation after coronavirus exposure

The Countess of Wessex has gone into self isolation after coming into contact with someone who has since tested positive for coronavirus.

Sophie is reported not to have any symptoms of coronavirus and is expected to undergo a test herself. It’s understood that the Countess hasn’t spent any time with the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh or any royal outside her immediate family circle in the past days.

The Countess of Wessex has had a busy week, carrying out a number of face to face engagements as well as virtual and online duties.

Her diary is now cancelled for the period of self isolation which is currently fourteen days. She is said to be following all government guidelines.

Royal Central will bring you further details as we get them.
