The Sussexes

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their second child

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting another baby.

The couple released a short statement saying “We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”

The couple, who now live in California, shared their news on Valentine’s Day along with a new, black and white photo in which Meghan’s baby bump can be clearly seen.

The new baby will be eighth in line to the throne from birth and will be a fifth grandchild for The Prince of Wales.

She or he will also be a tenth or eleventh great grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. Harry’s cousin, Zara, is expecting a third child in 2021 and, like the Sussexes, hasn’t confirmed a due date so it’s not known which baby is expected to arrive first.

The new baby of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is likely to be born in California where the family now live.

The happy news comes just months after the Duchess of Sussex revealed that she lost a baby to miscarriage in 2020.
