Lilibet Diana’s christening takes place in California, overseen by the Bishop of Los Angeles

The daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has been christened in the United States.

Lilibet Diana was baptised in a private ceremony at her parents’ home in California by the ‘Archbishop of Los Angeles’.

The service took place on March 3rd 2023.

The news of the christening was broken exclusively by People online.

In a statement to People, a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said ”‘I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday, March 3 by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Rev John Taylor.’

The statement also appears to confirm that Lilibet and her brother, Archie, will now use the title of Prince and Princess as stipulated in the 1917 Letters Patent of King George V.

It’s understood that actor Tyler Perry was among Lilibet’s godparents.
