It has been announced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are engaged, and are set to marry in Spring 2018.
The Queen and members of the Royal family have been informed.
Prince Harry and Meghan became engaged earlier this month. The 33-year-old Prince sought her parent’s blessing before taking their daughter’s hand in marriage.
The couple will live in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.
The couple first met when Prince Harry was in Toronto, where Ms Markle filmed her legal drama, Suits, to promote Invictus 2017.
Details of the wedding have yet to be announced, however, it is likely to be more low-key than that of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2011.
It is also extremely likely that Prince Harry and Ms Markle will become the Duke and Duchess of Sussex upon marriage.

Since the news emerged that Prince Harry had whisked Meghan away to Africa for a romantic holiday in August, speculation has been rife that an engagement would be imminent.
These rumours were strengthened after Meghan conducted an interview with Vanity Fair in September, where she spoke publicly for the first time about her relationship with the fifth-in-line to the throne.
Rachel Meghan Markle was born on 4 August 1981 in Los Angeles, California, to Doria and Thomas W. Markle. She is of mixed-race with her mother being African-American and her father being of Dutch and Irish descent.
Having been educated at private schools her entire life, Ms Markle graduated in 2003 with a double major in Theater and International Relations from Northwestern University.
Ms Markle is an active humanitarian. She has worked as a counsellor for the One Young World charitable organisation, where she spoke in Dublin at its annual summit in 2014. In 2016, she became the Global Ambassador World Vision Canada and attended the Ottawa Summit that same year. In her role, she also travelled to Rwanda for the Clean Water Campaign.
