All eyes on royal box at Wimbledon as new romance gets public spotlight with Queen Camilla’s blessing

Queen Camilla wears sunglasses as she watches Wimbledon from the royal box where she was joined by Peter Phillips and his partner, Harriet Sperling, whose royal romance was given another seal of approval.

The Queen was seen chatting happily and sharing smiles with the partner of King Charles III’s eldest nephew in another sign that this royal romance is taking a serious turn.

Peter Phillips and his girlfriend, Harriet Sperling, joined Queen Camilla in the royal box at Wimbledon on day 11 of the Championships and Her Majesty was keen to let them know how welcome they were.

Harriet Sperling was seen talking with The Queen as they settled into their front row seats.

The meeting comes just weeks after Harriet Sperling was invited to join Peter Phillips in one of the carriage processions at Royal Ascot, a special honour conferred by King Charles.

Before taking their seats at Wimbledon, Peter and Harriet posed happily for photographers and seemed very loved up as they sat waiting for the tennis to start.

It was a busy day for Queen Camilla who earlier had joined King Charles at St. George’s Hall in Windsor to bid a formal farewell to the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, and his wife, Brigitte, who are mid way through an historic State Visit.

Just hours earlier, they had hosted a glittering State Banquet for the Macrons in Windsor Castle.
