The Queen is spotted behind the wheel driving around Windsor as she continues to rest on doctors’ orders

The Queen has been spotted driving around the Windsor estate as the 95-year-old monarch continues to rest following advice from her doctors.

The images of The Queen sitting behind the wheel of her Jaguar Estate will no doubt reassure many Brits that the monarch remains in good spirits, despite having to cancel a number of engagements.

Pictured in a floral headscarf and sunglasses, Her Majesty is known to use the car to drive her corgis to a nearby area where enjoys a quiet walk with her beloved animals.

Royal sources have said that The Queen will follow medical advice ordering that she rests ‘to the letter.’ Buckingham Palace said last week that the monarch is determined to attend the wreath-laying service at the Cenotaph to mark Remembrance Sunday.

The Queen has been advised to cancel all in-person visits for the next couple of weeks, including a planned series of engagements in Glasgow for the COP26 climate change summit.

She has, however, continued to work from her desk at Windsor Castle, and has held a number of virtual audiences.

Last month, The Queen was admitted to hospital for an overnight stay.

Buckingham Palace said the visit was for routine tests. However, a lack of information and a perceived lack of transparency meant millions around the globe has been growing increasingly concerned for the health of The Queen.

Photos showing Her Majesty behind the wheel, coupled with images of her smiling at virtual audiences, will go a long way in reassuring the public that there is no need for concern.
