Queen Elizabeth II

The 93-year-old Queen conducted an impressive 40 engagements in June alone

Despite being 93-years of age, Queen Elizabeth II shows no signs of slowing down as she carried out an impressive 40 engagements in June alone.

According to research gathered by Royal Correspondent Patricia Treble, The Queen is the 4th busiest member of The Royal Family so far this year, having carried out over 150 engagements in total.

Only the Prince of Wales, the Princess Royal and the Duke of York have carried out more engagements than Her Majesty in 2019, a clear sign the old guard is keeping the monarchy going.

According to the figures collected by Ms Treble, Her Majesty’s January-to-June workload is almost as much as that of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge combined.

These figures are far from clear cut, however. The number of engagements conducted does not necessarily correlate with how hard each royal works.

For example, some engagements are conducted in quick succession, making it possible to conduct several in one day, whereas other tasks may take up the entirety of the day.

So far this year, Prince Charles leads the way in terms of the quantity with more than 300 engagements beingcarried out.

Princess Anne, often dubbed as the ‘hardest working royal’, is even struggling to keep up with her brother so far this year, having carried out over 250 engagements.

Prince William has conducted around 100 engagements so far this year with Kate carrying out just over 50.

The Duke of Sussex has carried out around 80 engagements as of yet, with Meghan conducting around 35, although she is on maternity leave.
