Prince Philip set to join The Queen at Church on Sunday for a private Easter service

The Duke of Edinburgh is set to join The Queen at Church on Sunday for a private Easter Day service in Windsor.

According to the Daily Mirror, the 94-year-old monarch is “delighted” that her husband is joining her at the service following a month long spell in hospital.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Prince Philip was a patient at King Edward’s VII Hospital in Central London after being treated for an infection and recovering from heart surgery.

The Duke is understood to be “in good spirits” ahead of his 100th birthday in a couple of months time.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will mark Easter privately and will not make any public appearances. This is so not to encourage crowds to gather to try and get a glimpse of the couple in breach of lockdown rules.
