The Queen has sent a message of support to Boris Johnson’s fiancée Carrie Symonds and the wider Johnson family.
Her Majesty informed Mr Johnson’s family that they were in her thoughts she she hoped for a full and speedy recovery.
A royal spokesperson said: “Earlier today The Queen sent a message to Carrie Symonds and to the Johnson family.
“Her Majesty said they were in her thoughts and that she wished the Prime Minister a full and speedy recovery.”
Prime Minister Boris Johnson was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit on Monday evening as his coronavirus symptoms worsened.
Foreign & Commonwealth Secretary Dominic Raab is deputising for Mr Johnson.
A Downing Street spokesperson said on Tuesday that Mr Johnson is in a stable condition and had a comfortable night in hospital.
Mr Johnson has not needed to use a ventilator, however, he has received oxygen treatment.
