King Charles has reportedly made a big decision about Prince Harry and a future royal role

Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex talks to the BBC about his court case

The King has reportedly made his feelings clear about where Prince Harry stands in regards to any royal role.

The Daily Telegraph reports that King Charles is unequivocal that his younger son will not get the ”half in/ half out” set up that Harry and Meghan wanted when they stepped back in 2020.

Following a meeting at Clarence House earlier this month, when Harry was in the UK for events linked to organisations he supports, a source is quoted by the paper as saying that The King stands firm over the decision that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will have no official, public role.

It is understood that plans are being discussed for Harry and The King to meet in private more often. Their chat at Clarence House,, with the prince inside the royal residence for just 54 minutes in total, was their first encounter since early in 2024 when Harry returned to see his father soon after it was announced that His Majesty was being treated for cancer.

However, a source is quoted by the Daily Telegraph as saying Charles III is ”absolutely clear in upholding his late mother’s decision that there can be no half-in, half-out public role”.

Prince Harry spent several days in the UK in early September before paying a private visit to Ukraine.
