Sophie, The Countess of Wessex, is to attend Princess Madeleine’s wedding to British-born Christopher O’Neill.
The stylish countess will attend the ceremony with husband Prince Edward, in June, on behalf of her majesty The Queen.
Sophie and Edward have represented Britain on many royal weddings, attending Monaco’s Prince Albert’s wedding to Charlene Wittstock and most recently Luxembourg’s wedding of Prince Guillaume to Belgian Countess Stephanie de Lannoy.
Princess Madeleine will marry Christopher O’Neill in a lavish ceremony this summer at Stockholm’s Royal Palace
Madeleine recently revealed her excitement gushing: ‘Time flies when your having fun’ as she discussed wedding preparations.
The ceremony will be attended from royalty around the world with Denmark’s Crown Prince Fredrik and wife Mary already confirmed to attend the event.
Many fashion onlookers will be keen to see the Countess of Wessex’s style choice, who earlier this year become the first patron of London College of Fashion.
At the time, London College of Fashion’s Professor said: ‘We are very proud to have The Countess of Wessex’s support and look forward to working with her.”
