The Princess of Wales has taken in several matches at Wimbledon this year, but The Queen has now made an appearance as well.
The Queen and her sister, Annabel Elliot, visited on Day ten of the tournament, where she revealed her previous connection to tennis.
While meeting with two ball girls and a ball boy at Wimbledon, Queen Camilla revealed that she was a ball girl herself. She asked Larissa (15), Cassie (16), and Sean (16) whether or not they had previously worked at the prestigious tournament.
The Queen noted that it’s a difficult position, explaining, “You have to be very agile. I remember doing it 100 years ago at Queen’s (Club). It is quite difficult.”
Both The Queen and her sister served as ball girls at the Queen’s Club Championships.
The men’s tournament is held in June at the Queen’s Club in West Kensington. She attended Queen’s Gate School, and it is thought that she was a ball girl while she was a pupil there.
