Queen Camilla forced to cancel Valentine’s Day engagements due to illness

Queen Camilla has been forced to postpone a series of engagements in the West Midlands after becoming unwell.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson says Her Majesty has a ‘seasonal illness’ and can no longer visit Edgbaston or Telford.

Her Majesty was due to visit the two locations on Valantine’s Day, however, she will instead spend the day recuperating.

The Queen hopes to carry out her engagements on Wednesday as planned.

The visits that she has pulled out of will be rescheduled.

Her Majesty was due to attend the centenary celebrations of the Elmhurst Ballet School.

The 75-year-old would have watched a special centenary performance, before posing for an official photograph and unveiling a plaque.

Later the same day, Her Majesty was scheduled to travel 36 miles west to Southwater One Library in Telford.

Here, she would have thanked staff and representatives from local outreach and voluntary groups for their great contribution to the community.
