Mike Tindall reveals surprising facts about Zara on I’m a Celebrity

Mike Tindall has revealed tidbits about his life with his wife Zara on the British reality television series I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, giving viewers—and fellow contestants—hidden secrets of his life within the Royal Family.

On the latest episode of I’m a Celebrity, Tindall revealed the quick birth of his youngest child, Lucas, born in 2021.

Tindall told his fellow contestants that “Lucas was rapid. Third one. As we got our stuff to go to hospital, she got out of the bath; she could barely stand, she was shaking. The midwife was like, ‘She’s not making the hospital.

“She was like, ‘You don’t want to be delivering in the car.’ Into the gym, two gym mats down in the bathroom. But yeah.”

Tindall also revealed that Zara was in pain during childbirth, hyperbolically saying that she’d almost choked him to death, but “You can’t say anything can you? ‘Can you let go, you’re really hurting me?!’”

The Tindalls have three children together: Mia, Lena, and Lucas.

On their first date in 2003, Tindall also revealed that it was a lunch date turned boozy, “Then we figured out that we both quite like getting smashed. It was a good start.” The couple married in July 2011.

Tindall is the first member of the Royal Family to compete on I’m a Celebrity; though it must be noted that his team lost a competition because they couldn’t correctly answer what Zara’s place in the line of succession is—they guessed 17, she’s actually 20th.

His appearance has caused controversy in the UK due to his connections to the Royal Family, though his occupation is listed as a rugby player, and Tindall was famous in his own right before marrying Zara. The couple carry out no official duties and only appear at wider family events.

In his biography for I’m a Celebrity, he lists his role for the camp as “Morning motivator. I would like to see everyone get on well and us all have a great experience.”
