The Royal Family has marked a milestone birthday of the Duke of Sussex with a celebratory message.
It took to its official social media to send birthday wishes to Prince Harry as he turned forty.
A new photo of the duke was shared alongside the message ”Wishing The Duke of Sussex a very happy 40th birthday today!”
In keeping with modern traditions, a birthday cake emoji was added for good measure.
The official greeting was a surprise as previously it’s been confirmed that social media celebrations are reserved for working members of the family.
Within minutes, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared the same post on their official social media channels.
Prince Harry, the second son of King Charles III and the late Diana, Princess of Wales, was born on September 15th 1984 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington. He is fifth in line to the throne.
Along with his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, he stepped back as a working member of the Royal Family in January 2020 and now lives in California. The couple have two children, Prince Archie, 5, and three year old Princess Lili.
