Princess Charlotte is celebrating her ninth birthday and her proud mum has taken a brand new photo to mark the occasion.
The Prince and Princess of Wales shared the image of their daughter with thanks for the birthday wishes sent her way.
In a post on their X and Instagram, William and Catherine said ‘’Happy Birthday Princess Charlotte! Thank you for all of the kind messages today.’’
The new photo shows the princess surrounded by flowers in her family’s garden.
Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born on May 2nd 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital, London. She made her debut in front of the world’s press just hours later when her parents took her home to Kensington Palace.
She is third in line to the throne and the first princess of a future king not to be overtaken by a younger brother in the succession. New laws, introduced in 2012, mean that rights to the throne are governed by birth order only.
