The Prince of Wales lays a wreath at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday

The Prince of Wales laid a wreath at the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph, hours after arriving back in the United Kingdom from his official visit to Brazil.

While he missed the Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall on Saturday night, Catherine and Prince George attended alongside King Charles and Queen Camilla and other members of the Royal Family.

“A special evening at The Royal Albert Hall for this year’s Festival of Remembrance, honouring the service of, and the sacrifices made by the British and Commonwealth Armed Forces community,” the social media accounts for William and Catherine shared following the ceremony.

Prince William’s wreath featured the Prince of Wales feathers with a ribbon in Welsh red, and is the wreath that his father previously laid before his accession in 2022.

Prince William wore the Royal Air Force uniform of a Wing Commander with great coat, poppy and sword.

After becoming Prince of Wales, William received the ranks of Wing Commander in the Royal Air Force, Commander in the Royal Navy, and Lieutenant Colonel in the British Army. His military appointments include Colonel-in-Chief of the Welsh Guards, Colonel-in-Chief of the Mercian Regiment, and Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps; Commodore-in-Chief of the Royal Navy Submarine Service and Commodore-in-Chief of Scotland; and Royal Honorary Air Commodore of RAF Valley.

On 11 November, William will join King Charles and Queen Camilla at a reception in honour of the 80th anniversary of VJ Day, which will include veterans of the Pacific Theatre and their families.
