Prince Harry says King Charles won’t speak to him

The Duke of Sussex says that King Charles III won’t talk to him but he still wants a reconciliation with his family.

Prince Harry claims that his long legal battle over security has led to the breakdown in communications between himself and his father.

And he says that, as a result, he doesn’t now how long his father has to live.

The comments came in an exclusive interview with the BBC given hours after he lost an appeal against a government decision over his security.

He said ”I would love a reconciliation with my family….there’s no point in continuing to fight any more.”

However, he says it’s hard to make contact, saying ”I don’t know how much longer my father has. He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff.”

Prince Harry also spoke of his relationship with other relatives, saying ”some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book, they will never forgive me for a lot of things…”

Since giving up his role as a working royal and moving to the United States, Prince Harry has written ‘Spare’ as well as giving an explosive interview to Oprah Winfrey and taking part in a Netflix programme. All three outlined grievances against the Royal Family.

However, in his latest interview, he insisted that his security remained the biggest sticking point, as far as he was concerned, in any attempts to re-establish contact.

He also called on the Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper, to review Ravec, the body tasked with making security decisions about members of the Royal Family and other VIPs.

Buckingham Palace later issued a statement saying ”all of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion.”
