King Charles hosts President Zelensky of Ukraine at Windsor Castle

King Charles and President Volodymyr Zelesnskyy of Ukraine meet at Windsor Castle ahead of the NATO summit in The Hague

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has been welcomed to Windsor Castle for a new meeting with King Charles.

President Zelensky arrived in the United Kingdom to discuss UK support before the NATO summit begins in the Hague. While in the UK, Volodymyr Zelensky met Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and The King.

The King welcomed the Ukrainian President to Windsor Castle for a private audience and lunch. The two looked happy to see each other, chatting as they walked through the castle together.

In a small departure, President Zelensky swapped his standard camo fatigues for a blazer and trousers.

The Ukrainian President thanked The King, and the British public, for the UK’s continued support for Ukraine during the war with Russia.

Taking to social media, Volodymyr Zelensky shared, “It was an honour to have an audience with King Charles III. I thank His Majesty, the Royal Family, and the people of the United Kingdom for their support for Ukraine. This is incredibly valuable to us.”

King Charles has met the President of Ukraine on several occasions. Recently, he invited the Ukrainian leader to Sandringham House in Norfolk for a private audience. The pair also met at Blenheim Palace last summer ahead of the European Political Community summit.
