Jamaica’s Governor General praises Princess of Wales for ‘exemplary strength and selflessness’

The Governor General of Jamaica has expressed his ‘fervent hope’ for the full recovery of the Princess of Wales following her cancer diagnosis.

In an open letter to the Princess, Governor General Sir Patrick Allen said ”on behalf of the people of Jamaica, His Excellency has expressed profound empathy and fervent hope for Her Royal Highness’s swift and comprehensive recovery.”

Sir Patrick continued ”we stand in solidarity with Princess Kate during this challenging period.”

And he continued ”her remarkable and exemplary strength and selflessness, even in the face of personal adversity, serve as an inspiration to us all.”

The Governor General sent warm wishes to the Prince and Princess of Wales as well as ”their beloved children, George, Charlotte and Louis”.

The letter comes as the Prince and Princess are spending some private time with their family over the Easter break.

The Princess of Wales announced on March 22nd 2024 that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy. She said she was well and was going to be OK.
