William & Kate ‘very emotional’ as they leave hospital with baby

Pic1Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the new Royal Baby have now left the Lindo Wing hospital where the Duchess gave birth yesterday.

Prince William and Kate stopped in front of the press to answer a few questions.

William said, “He has got a good pair of lungs on him… He’s a big boy, he’s quite heavy. We’re still working on a name, so we’ll get back to you on that”

William joked to the press about the baby’s ‘late arrival’ saying, “I’ll remind him of his tardiness when he’s older”.

The BBC’s Peter Hunt asked, “have you called him George” – he got the response, “you’ll have to wait and see Peter, wait and see”.

Prince William helped Kate with the car seat in the back before taking the wheel himself and driving off.

The BBC reports that Kate leaned over to the baby’s car seat when they set off and said to it, ‘are you alright?’

William, Kate and the new Baby Cambridge are now on their way back to Kensington Palace, where they will now settle back down with the new baby.

William told the media that they’re still deciding on the names, so it could be a little longer than anticipated before we hear about the names for the 3rd-in-line to the throne.

The Duke and Duchess, remarkably, looked in very good form and didn’t give signs of tiredness at all. The Duke remarked that the whole time was ‘very emotional’.

It is expected that Her Majesty The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will go to see the child before they go for their annual summer break to Balmoral Castle on Friday.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall visited earlier today, shortly after Michael and Carole Middleton.

Prince William is currently on annual leave, though will now take his two weeks paternity leave.

It is not known whether the Duke and Duchess will stay at Kensington Palace or at the Middletons’ in Bucklebury.
