New dad Prince William attends friend’s stag weekend

Prince William is spending his first weekend away from his wife the Duchess of Cambridge and new son Prince George as he joins close friends for a stag trip to Devon.

On Friday, the new father was spotted with a group of his closest friends at Paddington train station heading to Exeter St Davids to celebrate the groom’s upcoming nuptials.

Prince William has joined his closest friends for a stag weekend in Exeter.

The group of friends, including Guy Pelly, were spotted by members of the public inside a private carriage on the train.

“I walked through carriage on the way to the buffet car and spotted William with a bunch of chaps swigging beer like it was going out of fashion,” one fellow passenger told The Sun. “The tables were covered with cans and miniature bottles of gin and one chap seemed to be wearing gold lame shorts.”

William and Kate welcomed their first child, Prince George, on July 22 and since leaving the Lindo Wing have been residing at the Middleton family home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, as they settle into parenthood.

Earlier this week, the proud new father headed back to North Wales to his job as a search-and-rescue pilot in the RAF. The Prince had been enjoying two weeks of paternity leave, as he enjoyed the few first weeks with his newborn and wife.

It is believed the Duchess and  baby are still at her parents’ house and are expected to travel to their Anglesey home “at some point” in the coming weeks.

There is also some suggestion the new family will join The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh at Balmoral in the coming weeks as the monarch enjoys her annual summer holiday.

Prince Philip is still yet to meet his new great-grandson. The Duke has been resting since his hospital stay earlier this year, and is expected to join the Queen at the Scottish estate this week.
