BREAKING: Theresa May to face a vote of no confidence in her government

Prime Minister Theresa May is to face a vote of confidence in her  government following the crushing defeat on her Brexit vote on Tuesday.

The government lost Theresa May’s meaningful vote by a huge majority on Thursday evening. 432 MPs voters against the motion with just  202 voting in favour of it.

This means the government has suffered its worst defeat in the history of the House of Commons.

Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn tabled a motion of no confidence.

The confidence debate will be held on Wednesday after Prime Minister’s Questions.

The Government are likely to win the confidence motion as the DUP have signalled that they will vote in favour of the government.
