David Cameron’s Resignation Honours revealed in full

At the request of the former Prime Minister David Cameron, The Queen will bestow honours to 46 individuals who are named on his controversial resignations honours list.

The Prime Minister’s Resignation Honours are granted by Her Majesty the Queen at the request of an outgoing Prime Minister.

People who will receive an honour include Cabinet Ministers, Downing Street Staff and politicians.

The former Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne has been made a Companion of Honour at Mr Cameron’s request.

Other Cabinet Ministers who will receive an honour include Chairman of the Conservative Party Patrick Mcloughlin and former Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Oliver Letwin, who will both receive knighthoods.

An array of Downing Street staff will also be bestowed with an honour, including Samantha Cameron’s stylist Isabel Spearman.

These honours have been subject to extreme scrutiny as well as allegations of cronyism.

Last week Downing Street said the new Prime Minister, Theresa May, would not intervene in Mr Cameron’s resignation honours as it ‘would set a bad precedent’.
