The Princess of Wales makes her children her priority as she undergoes treatment for cancer

The Princess of Wales has spoken of her determination to ensure her children know that she is ”going to be OK” after she was diagnosed with cancer.

In a video statement, the Princess revealed she is undergoing ‘preventative chemotherapy’ and said that her priority, and that of the Prince of Wales, is ”to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be ok.

She had words of encouragement for them, too, as she said ”I have said to them; I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirits.

And she was filled with praise for her husband, noting that ”Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance too. As is the love, support and kindness that has been shown by so many of you. It means so much to us both.

The Princess of Wales underwent major abdominal surgery in January and doctors discovered the presence of cancer in tests that were carried out afterwards.
