The sixth birthday of Prince Alexander of Sweden capped off a celebratory few days for the Swedish Royal Family.
Prince Alexander marked his sixth birthday on 19 April, and his parents shared a new photo of their eldest on their Instagram account, saying: “Today our effervescent and wonderful Alexander turns 6 years old.”
His special day came after the royals marked Easter on Sunday with several holiday snaps on social media. The Royal Family spent the Christian holiday with different parts of their family. Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia and their three sons (Princes Alexander, Gabriel and Julian) were in Älvdalen, where Princess Sofia grew up.
They posted two images from the slopes on Instagram and said: “Happy Easter from the beautiful mountains!”
The King and Queen marked Easter at Storlien in Jämtland. Their Majesties wished the Swedish people well on Easter in an Instagram snap where they are seen with their dog, Brandie, in the snow.
Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel and their two children, Princess Estell and Prince Oscar, spent Easter at Villa Skönvik on Öland. Princess Madeleine, Chris O’Neill and their three children (Princesses Leonore and Adrienne and Prince Nicolas) remained in Florida.
No photos were shared from the private celebrations of the Crown Princess Family or the Princess Family. However, a video of the Crown Princess reading the Easter Gospel aired on SVT on Saturday, 16 April.
There will be more celebrations for the Swedish Royal Family next weekend as the King mark’s his birthday on 30 April.
