Crown Princess Victoria leads the crowds at historic competition

Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Estelle of Sweden in blue to watch an athletics contest

Crown Princess of Victoria has taken her children along to one of the biggest sporting events in Sweden this weekend.

Victoria was at Stockholm Stadium with Princess Estelle, 13, and Prince Oscar, 9, to cheer on the Swedish team at Finnkampen.

Crown Princess Victoria enjoys one of Sweden’s oldest sporting commitments

Finnkampen is an athletics competition held between Sweden and Finland each year. It includes short, middle, and long distance running, as well as hammer throw, discus, javelin, hurdles, high jump, long jump, and pole vault. The two countries alternate between hosting; Sweden is the host this year.

This year marks a major milestone for the event as the 100 year anniversary of Finnkampen is in 2025.

The royal mum and her children looked excited to be cheering on their national team. All three embraced Sweden’s colour of blue for the day.

Ever the sustainable style icon, Crown Princess Victoria rewore one of her favourite suits for the day. Her Cerulean blue Veronica Beard trouser suit has been a stand-out look for her this year, with this being its third outing since March.

Princess Estelle is following in her mum’s footsteps, and popped into her closet. She borrowed Victoria’s Baum und Pferdgarten blazer, with the structured single-breasted navy jacket paired with jeans.

Prince Oscar went with a comfy gingham button-down from Polo Ralph Lauren and jeans.
