A future queen taking small steps towards the spotlight

Princess Estelle of Sweden is only twelve years old and has been second in line to her country’s throne from birth. She has taken part in big family and state events, like her grandfather’s Golden Jubilee, but as she gets older, the spotlight gets stronger. And as she gets older, she has started to develop her own sense of fashion as a young royal. 

Zara Coat and Levi’s Flared Trousers, Stockholm (March 2024) 

Princess Estelle appeared with her younger brother, Prince Oscar, at Crown Princess Victoria’s Name Day celebrations. As it was still chilly in Stockholm, she wore a tan Zara coat paired with a pair of flared velvet trousers.

Although it made for a casual look, the young princess’s choice of velvet trousers added a bit of fun to a neutral outfit.

Estelle joined her parents and grandparents in May when King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark were officially welcomed for a State Visit. The princess and her brother were on the balcony of the royal palace with handmade Danish flags before meeting with everyone inside. With Queen Mary one of Princess Estelle’s godparents, it was truly a family meeting. 

The princess coordinated with her mother with both wearing blush pink looks. She wore a fashionable pink mini-dress with frilled tiers. Both Victoria and Estelle wore hairpieces by Christer Lindarw; the Crown Princess wore a full flower headpiece while the Princess wore a hair pin. She finished her look off with scalloped H&M flats.

This may be a casual look, but with it Princess Estelle joined the ranks of her elder European peers. Many young royals attended the Paris Olympics and Paralympics this summer, with many spending time at the games with their siblings. 

Princess Estelle attended the Paralympic games with her mother, Crown Princess Victoria, and her grandmother, Queen Silvia. She wore Sweden’s official Olympic collection created by Uniqlo during her visit.
