Special mother daughter moment for Queen Maxima at Olympics

The Dutch Royal Family are wrapping up their orange Olympic adventures for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and had a packed Tuesday before they headed home.

On day four, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, Princess Catharina Amalia, and Princess Alexia packed their schedule to see as many Dutch athletes compete as possible.

They started out their day by watching both the quarter-final skiff and the semi-finals of doubles rowing for an exciting beginning. The whole family were enthusiastic supporters, cheering loudly for the Dutch athletes. They were absolutely a good luck charm for the women’s double sculls team, as they came in second place in their race.

Willem-Alexander, Maxima, and their daughters were then able to see the Dutch women’s handball team face Spain in their opening round for the Olympics. The Netherlands claimed a victory with a 29-24 win over Spain.

Queen Maxima and Princess Amalia shared a happy selfie together on Instagram to mark their time at the Olympics, complete with orange fashion.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima arrived for the first days of the Olympics and were then joined by their two older daughters. In addition to seeing as many events as possible, all four met with Dutch athletes and visitors each day for a very fun Olympic weekend.
