Princess Charlene rushed to hospital

Reports have emerged that Princess Charlene has been rushed to hospital in South Africa.

Channel 24 reported that the Princess was taken to a hospital in Durban on September 1st 2021 after collapsing.

The channel shared a comment from the Prince’s Palace in Monaco which said that Charlene was ”due to undergo another procedure on September 3rd before she suddenly collapsed.”

It’s understood that the Princess was admitted under a false name to a hospital in Ballito. The cause of her illness hasn’t been revealed.

The Princess has been in South Africa since May where she is being treated for complications following a sinus graft. She suffered an infection as a result of that which meant her ears can’t stabilise when flying at altitude. She underwent a four hour operation on August 13th and last week was seen with her husband and twins as they visited her during her recovery.

Reports of Charlene’s new health setback came as her husband revealed she might be able to return to Monaco sooner than previously thought. In August, the Princess had said she was hopeful of being home by the end of October. However, Prince Albert told People that it could be sooner, and perhaps even this month.

There has been no further statement from the Prince’s Palace.
