A new royal baby in Luxembourg

The Hereditary Grand Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg have welcomed their second child.

Princess Stephanie gave birth to a baby boy on March 27th 2023 at the Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital in Luxembourg. Her younger son arrived at 10.04am, local time.

Both Stephanie and her new son are doing well.

The little prince has been named Francois Henri Luis Marie Guillaume.

He is currently third in line to the throne behind his father, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, and his older brother, Prince Charles.

Prince Francois weighed 3.5 kilos at birth and measured 53 centimetres.

In a short statement announcing his arrival, the Grand Ducal Court said the baby prince’s parents and his big brother were excited to show little Francois off as soon as possible.
