Queen Mary steals the show at glittering gala packed with royals

Although the latest State Dinner in Berlin was not a white tie event with tiaras, Queen Mary of Denmark, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway made it a glamorous evening.

King Frederik and Queen Mary are in Berlin for a two day State Visit to Germany. Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel and Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit joined them on Monday to mark the 25th anniversary of the Nordic embassy complex in Berlin.

At the State Dinner, Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a white gown with a brightly coloured floral pattern.

She accessorised with a diamond and sapphire bracelet and a fuschia clutch. 

Crown Princess Victoria’s gown was a deep rich purple velvet with a wrap detail on the side.

In addition to diamond earrings, the Swedish Crown Princess wore a modern yellow gold necklace with a knot at the centre.

Queen Mary chose a stunning lacquer red evening gown from Carolina Herrera in silk-mikado. The bright red gown features cap sleeves, a voluminous pleated skirt, and a tie at the waist.

She paired it with an antique bracelet featuring a jewelled cameo portrait and six strands of pearls, as well as a pair of cameo earrings.
