Princess Isabella stuns in new birthday portraits

Princess Isabella of Denmark looks stunning in her new birthday portraits released by the Danish Royal House.

The second child and eldest daughter of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary marked her 15th birthday on Thursday, 21 April, and the Royal House released four new images to celebrate the day.

In two of the photographs, the Princess is seen in a black pantsuit, while in the other two, she is in a turquoise blouse. Clearly taking after her mother in the fashion department, the teenager has her hair in a sleek ponytail and wears hoop earrings.

Princess Isabella will soon be the centre of attention in Denmark as her Confirmation in the Church of Denmark is set to take place in the Fredensborg Palace Church on 30 April. It is the same venue where she was christened and where her older brother, Prince Christian, was confirmed in last year, and their father, Crown Prince Frederik, was confirmed in 1981.

There will be a private celebration for friends and family after the confirmation ceremony. A guest list has not yet been released for the service, but it is thought her godparents will make the trip to Denmark for the special occasion.

Princess Isabella was christened in the church in 2007. Her godparents are Princess Alexia of Greece and Denmark (her father’s first cousin), Queen Mathilde of the Belgians, Nadine Johnston, Christian Buchwald, Peter Heering and Marie Louise Skeel.

Isabella Henrietta Ingrid Margrethe was born on 21 April 2007 in the Copenhagen University Hospital. She has one older brother, Prince Christian (b. 2005) and two younger twin siblings, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine (b. 2011). The Princess is third in the line of succession to the Danish throne behind her father and elder brother.
