From 21 to 22 October, the Danish King and Queen will be in Germany for a State Visit.
They will be welcomed in Berlin by President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and will then visit the Reichstag, the German parliament.
King Frederik and Queen Mary will join members of the Swedish Royal Family, members of the Norwegian Royal Family, the President of Finland, the President of Iceland, and the President of the Federal Republic of Germany for a reception celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Nordic embassy complex in Berlin.
The King and Queen of Denmark will finish off their first day in Germany with a State Dinner at Schloss Bellevue.
On Tuesday, 22 October, they will travel to Schleswig-Holstein, the northern-most German state. Schleswig was a part of Denmark for several hundred years and there is still a significant Danish-speaking population. They will visit Kiel and Flensburg to visit Danish minority communities.
