A new royal baby for the King and Queen of Bhutan

The King and Queen of Bhutan have welcomed their third child.

Queen Jetsun Pema gave birth to a daughter in the Lingkana Palace in Thimpu.

The announcement of the arrival of the new princess was made on September 9th 2023.

The statement said ”We are honoured to share the wonderful news that a healthy baby girl has been born to Their Majesties, The Druk Gyalpo and Gyaltsuen today, co-inciding with the 25th day of the 7th month of the Female Water Rabbit year.”

The Queen of Bhutan and her baby are both doing well.

The King and Queen also extended their thanks to their medical team.

The baby princess, whose name hasn’t yet been revealed, is a third child for the couple.

They already have two sons. Crown Prince Jigme Namgyel was born in 2016 and Prince Jigme Ugyen was born in 2020.
