The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a laugh with some familiar faces as they spent the day at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
William and Kate were spotted catching up with the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh as the Royal Family turned out in force for the penultimate da of the sporting spectacular which has taken over the Scottish city for the past nine days.
Edward and Sophie chatted happily with the Prince and Princess as they all enjoyed the action in the track cycling.
Also with them, in the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, was the star cyclist after whom the venue is named.
Sir Chris has played an integral role in the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and accompanied King Charles and Queen Camilla at the Opening Ceremony.
The King and Queen, along with Sir Chris, starred in a spoof film which saw them travel from Balmoral to Glasgow in Doctor Who’s Tardis.
As the Games came to an end, the Prince and Princess of Wales brought Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and 8 year old Prince Louis to Glasgow to enjoy some of the sporting action.
George, Charlotte and Louis began their day out watching netball before heading over to see some cycling.
It’s the first official public appearance in Scotland for all three of the Wales children. They have spent summer holidays in Balmoral in Aberdeenshire but always privately. Their appearance at the Commonwealth Games marks a new milestone for them.
Kate, who’s just been named as the best dressed person in Britain for 2026 by Tatler magazine, chose a pleated white skirt, striped top and blazer for the outing with George and Louis matching their dad in shirt and trousers and absolutely no ties. Princess Charlotte wore a white and black patterned dress.
The visit to Glasgow comes just two weeks after George and Charlotte accompanied their parents to the Men’s Singles Final at Wimbledon where Kate presented the trophy.
The family is expected to head to Balmoral later this summer to spend part of their holidays with Kingt Charles and Queen Camilla.
