Royal bride to be Harriet Sperling seen at wedding rehearsal but Princess Anne lets spotlight fall on happy couple

Harriet Sperling wears a white and red striped jumper

Bride to be Harriet Sperling was seen smiling as she left a rehearsal for her royal wedding with just hours to go until the big day.

Harriet was spotted at the Church of All Saints at Kemble, near Cirencester, where she and Peter Phillips will marry on June 6.

The groom was also at the practice run and both looked happy and relaxed as they walked along the little path from the church following the practice run.

Peter’s sister, Zara Tindall, was also spotted at the rehearsal and left carrying a sheet of paper, perhaps a hint that she’ll be giving a reading at the ceremony.

However, there was no sign of Princess Anne.

The mother of the groom is coming to the end of a busy week which has seen her criss cross the country to carry out a string of engagements.

As Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling were getting ready for their eve of wedding rehearsal, Buckingham Palace shared photos of the Princess Royal in Portsmouth where she’d joined in an important maritime milestone.

Anne, who is a keen sailor, officially launched the latest vessel belonging to the Tall Ships Youth Trust.

Challenger 5 has been designed as a ‘floating classroom’ and will be used to help hundreds of young people learn new skills as well as develop their confidence.

The Princess Royal was given a tour of the new vessel and immediately got to grips with it, joining in as some of the young people who will be supported by it started their tasks.

The Tall Ships Youth Trust is a  youth development and outdoor learning charity and during her time in Portsmouth, Princess Anne met students and teachers as well as volunteers who help run the trust.

It follows a week of engagements for Princess Anne who remains one of the busiest members of the Royal Family. Even she will take a day off to enjoy the wedding celebrations of her only son.

Many members of the Royal Family are expected in the tiny village of Kemble for the wedding of the nineteenth in lie to the throne. The King and Queen are expected to attend the wedding ceremony itself but will miss the early part of the reception, at least, as they are also due to travel to Epsom for the running of the Derby.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are also on the guest list along with their three children. it’s not known whether Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11 or 8 year old Prince Louis will be among the bridal party as pageboys or bridesmaid.

Zara Tindall’s three children may find themselves holding that responsibility, too. Her eldest daughter, Mia, is 12 while her younger, Lena, is about to turn 8. Zara’s son, Lucas, is now 5. The sister of the groom will be in attendance at the wedding with her husband, Mike Tindall.

It’s also widely expected that Peter’s cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, will attend the celebration. Both have hit the headlines again as it was revealed that The King pays their rent on the apartments they both have at palaces in London.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh are also thought to be on the guest list although Sophie has been heavily involved in the design of a garden at the Royal Windsor Flower Show which runs on June 6 and she may have to make an appearance there as well.

Harriet Sperling and Peter Phillips announced their engagement last August. Peter Phillips was previously married to Autumn Phillips with their wedding taking place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor in 2008. They divorced several years ago and share two daughters, Savannah, 15, and 14 year old Isla. Harriet Sperling has a daughter from a previous relationship. All three girls appeared to enjoy a harmonious relationship when they attended Easter Sunday service with the Royal Family at St. George’s, Windsor.
