The Prince and Princess of Wales have celebrated their fifteenth wedding anniversary by putting family first.
As William and Kate reached their crystal anniversary, they shared a new portrait of them with their three children.
The message that accompanied the photo read ”celebrating 15 years of marriage’ and ended with a red heart. It was clear that their celebration was very much focused on the family unit they have become since their wedding day.
Kate is at the centre of the image, which shows all five members of the Wales family lying in the grass during a relaxed day on their recent holiday to Cornwall.
On one side of the Princess of Wales are her two youngest children. Prince Louis, now 8, is snuggled up to his mum while Princess Charlotte, soon to turn 11, is next to her brother.
Prince William sits at the other end of the group, nestled next to Prince George, 12, who is on the other side of the Princess of Wales.
The image was taken by Matt Porteous who also took the birthday snap of Prince Louis, shared on April 23 when he turned 8.
The anniversary image came as William and Kate made a surprise anniversary appearance, visiting the charity Into University which helps young people reach their education potential.

It was one of the charities that received money from the Royal Wedding Gift Fund in 2011 which was set up ahead of William and Kate’s nuptials so that anyone who wanted to give them a present could donate to charity instead.
At the time of the wedding, Into University had six centres in London. It now has 46 across the UK and it helps 60,000 young people every year. The charity credited the Wedding Fund donation in its early years with helping it grow.
The anniversary visit saw the Prince and Princess of Wales enjoy a FOCUS Day’ for Year 5 students from Victory Primary School. The aim of the Focus Day is to encourage young people to explore academic ambition and look ahead, however young, to the possibility of university.
Mrs Denkyira, the Year 5 teacher from Victory Primary School, said ”Today was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to meet The Prince and Princess of Wales. The children were brilliant, they engaged confidently, asked thoughtful questions and really embraced the experience. I’ve worked closely with IntoUniversity for six years and have seen first-hand the impact of their support. The way they engage with pupils, both in school and beyond, makes a real difference to their confidence, learning and aspirations. Opportunities like today are incredibly special for our children.”
It was also revealed that the Prince and Princess of Wales took the chance to enjoy an anniversary lunch as they marked their special milestone.
The couple were spotted enjoying a romantic meal for two at the Goring Hotel in central London. It was the hotel that Kate stayed at the night before her wedding and where she left for Westminster Abbey.
William and Kate were married at the Abbey on April 29 2011 in front of royalty from around the world. Millions tuned in to see the ceremony and celebrations on TV. The couple became Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their wedding day, titles they still hold now even though they are now called by the traditional names for the heir to the English throne and his wife, Prince and Princess of Wales.
