A princess has turned eighteen with her country’s royal family sharing special details of what’s proved to be a double celebration.
Princess Eleonore of Belgium, the youngest child of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, reaches the milestone on April 16.
As the day began, the Belgian royal palace released three new portraits of the princess, who is fourth in line to her country’s throne.

In the photos, Eleonore is seen enjoying a country walk and striking a very royal pose on one of the grand staircases of her family’s palace.
And it’s a double party for Belgium’s royals as Eleonore’s birthday comes a day after her father celebrated his own special day.

King Philippe turned 66 on April 15 2016 and was seen in a formal portrait to mark the occasion.
Previously, he’s shared his birthday photos with his youngest child and one in particular became very famous.

In 2016, Philippe and Eleonore were snapped sitting in a garden to mark their birthdays. As the princess prepared to turn 18, father and daughter recreated the image for the family photo album.
Eleonore Fabiola Victoria Anne Marie was born on April 16 2008 in Anderlecht, the fourth daughter of the now King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of the Belgians. She was christened at Ciergnon Castle with Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden among her godparents.

Princess Eleonore is currently finishing her studies at the International School of Brussels. She is a talented musician and enjoys playing the violin.
The Belgian royals are expected to announce what the princess will do once she’s completed her schooling in the coming weeks. Her eldest sister, Princess Elisabeth, is heir to the throne and has undergone military training. It’s not clear whether Eleonore will follow her lead or choose another path.
