Kylie Minogue and Matthew McConaughy headline Earthshot 2025 for Prince William

Prince William, The Prince of Wales and Duke of Cornwall

Prince William has recruited some of the biggest names in showbiz for the latest Earthshot awards.

The prizes are handed out in Brazil on November 5 2025 and the event will be star studded.

Kylie Minogue is among the headline stars for the ceremony which takes place at the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro.

Also in the line up is Rio’s own superstar, Anitta, who is known as the queen of Brazilian pop.

Shawn Mendes will also play at the ceremony which will celebrate 15 finalists in five different categories before handing out prizes of £1 million to five different winners.

Ahead of all that, trailers for the awards are being led by Oscar winner, Matthew McConaughey, who has voiced a film called ”Meet the World’s True Action Heroes”. It features all fifteen finalists and the ideas they have come up with to help solve some of the biggest environmental problems facing the world right now.

The awards ceremony, hosted by Luciano Huck, will come at the end of three days of events focused on the solutions put forward by this year’s Earthshot finalists.

Seu Jorge, one of the best known singers in Brazil, will also be part of the all star line up for the Earthshot Awards which have been judged by a panel that includes supermodel, Gisele Bundchen.

Gilberto Gil, a singer and songwriter who was also once Brazil’s Minister of Culture, will also perform. He’s taking a break from his farewell tour to be part of Earthshot.

After the prizes, Prince William will travel to Belem where he will take part in the Heads of State meeting before COP30 gets underway – he is representing King Charles III.

As the starry line up was announced, Kylie said ”Brazil – I’m coming back! It’s a privilege and honour to be part of The Earthshot Prize in Rio – on stage with the people and the ideas that could save our planet.”

And as the final countdown begins, the Earthshot Prize is promising more surprises to come ahead of its latest awards ceremony.
