Queen Camilla shows off the tiniest royal home

Queen Camilla wears a green dress with a pearl choker necklace and diamond brooch as she inspects a State Banquet at Windsor Castle

Queen Camilla showed American First Lady Melanie Trump one of the tiniest royal homes in existence.

While King Charles formally said goodbye to President Trump as he was off to speak with Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the First Lady stayed at Windsor for an extended tour.

Queen Camilla showed the First Lady Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, an historic royal home of sorts.

Queen Mary commissioned the doll house in the early 1920s, and it was built from 1921 to 1924. Leading craftsman and artists created the dollhouse with to scale items for everything, including pots and pans in the kitchen, a bath tub, and even a full wine cellar.

Designed by British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House has working electricity and running water, and shows what life at the palace would have been like for both upstairs and downstairs.

The pair also visited the Royal Collection at Windsor to see some of the books held in the royal library.

In 2024, Queen Camilla commissioned several miniature books to be added to the library in Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House. Melania was able to view some of the new books created.
