The Princess of Wales will be at Trooping the Colour, her first public appearance since revealing she is being treated for cancer.
The announcement came as a new photo of The Princess was published.
In it, Catherine is seen in the woods at Windsor. The portrait was taken by Matt Porteous several days ago.
The King said he was delighted that his daughter in law would be able to attend his Official Birthday Parade.
The Princess also issued a statement in which she said she was ‘’blown away’’ by the support and good wishes she had been sent since announcing she is undergoing preventative chemotherapy.
Catherine also said she has ‘’good days and bad days’’ but is learning to be patient as she continues her recovery.
It’s also been confirmed that The Princess is hoping to take on a few more public engagements over the summer although this will depend on her treatment and how she feels at the time.
This could include Her Royal Highness participating in the upcoming State Visit by the Emperor and Empress of Japan and presenting the trophies at Wimbledon. However, The Princess isn’t expected to attend the Garter Day service at Windsor on June 17th or Royal Ascot which begins the following day.
