BREAKING: Major security changes implemented for Changing of the Guard

Major security changes are being implemented for the Changing of the Guard ceremony; to protect The Queen’s Guards and members of the public from danger.

Barriers are being erected around Windsor Castle for when the ceremony takes place.

A police spokesperson has stressed that there is “no intelligence to indicate a specific threat to Windsor”.

Chief Inspector Sarah Grahame, of Thames Valley Police, said the barriers will provide: “further protection for people in the town in light of recent events in Westminster”.

She added: “I hope that people in Windsor will understand the reasons that these barriers are being introduced, and will see why they are necessary.”

The barriers will be installed on Monday evening.
