Their Royal Highnesses Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine and Her Highness Princess Athena are all due to begin school later this month.
According to the Royal Danish House, Princess Athena, the youngest child and only daughter of Prince Joachim and his second wife Princess Marie, will start the school year on Friday, 11 August at Sct. Joseph Søstrenes School in Ordrup. The five-year-old Princess will be in Grade 0; her brother, His Highness Prince Henrik also attends the school.
Prince Vincent and Princess Athena, the six-year-old twins of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, will enter Tranegård School in Hellerup on 15 August in Grade 0. Their older siblings, Prince Christian and Princess Isabella also attend the same school.
There will be photo opportunities on the mornings of the 11th and 15th when the young royals begin school as is the tradition. The Danish Monarchy hopes that these photo opportunities will allow the children to attend school in private and respect their classmates and their families.
