Princess Michael of Kent, who also lives next door to William and
Catherine has said that Harry could move into the residence
currently occupied by the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
Princess Michael told Tatler magazine that the Duke and
Duchess of Cambridge have a “lovely big apartment, next to the
Gloucesters who I think will leave their enormous apartment because
their children have gone.”
She continued: “they’re rattling around this huge space and I think
Prince Harry might go there, then they’d be next door to each other
– very good move.”
The Sunday Times reported that Harry left his apartment at
Clarence House in early 2012 and moved into a former staff
apartment in Kensington Palace.
Princess Margaret formerly owned the apartment in Kensington Palace
that William and Catherine currently occupy. It was left vacant
since her death in 2002, until the couple moved in last year.
In regards to William and Catherine’s apartment, Princess Michael
said that after Princess Margaret’s death, “they gave it to a
museum. And obviously, the boy [William] was going to marry one
day. All right it was 12 years ago, but one day he’d need the best
apartment.”
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson has said that there are no plans
for Harry to move from his one bedrooms flat in Kensington
Palace.

The article mentions that Prince Harry is living in a one-bedroom flat in Kensington Palace, which had been staff accommodation. I wonder if that might be Apartment #6, where butler Harold Brown (who once worked for Princess Margaret) had lived for many years. Does anyone know if that’s the case?
I’ve also been curious as to how Harold Brown acquired his apartment there, which is very unusual for a member of staff. I read about this in Paul Burrell’s book, “A Royal Duty,” where that situation is mentioned but not explained. Maybe someone knows more about this?
Possible Harold Brown is Prince Harry’s dad and not James Hewitt?
